3 User Types that Will Really Love Windows 8
Windows 8 is still some time off. The general understanding it is still around 10 months away. This will give us plenty of time to get used to the differences it will mean in the way we use our computer, and the advantages it will bring. There are some people still using Windows XP, because they heard so much bad news about Vista, they still have not upgraded to Windows 7. The reality is that Windows 7 has been, and still is a very good operating system. Support for Windows XP will slowly start to fall by the wayside, and it can be expected that after the release of Windows 8, support of XP will begin to die very rapidly. There are not too many business users who are still using Windows XP, although it still can be found. Windows 8 is a major overhaul in the Windows operating system, a change that we have not seen ever in the operating system. It could be said that Windows 8 is the first time the Windows operating system has every actually, really changed. So what kinds of people will the Windows 8 operating system appeal to?
• Less Confident Users. For many people, using a computer is still a complicated and sophisticated task. They have to remember a whole bunch of steps to get some pretty simple things done. We have seen a move away from this type of computing, which was originally introduced because of the release of the iPhone. Push button, or touch screen computing, with all of our applications right there in front of our face is fast turning into the norm. We also see this very common with the introduction of smartTVs. This type of computing interface makes using a computer very easy. It is very good for those people who are just learning how to use a computer, and much easier for them to remember. Those who are not confident with computers, and children just learning, will find Windows 8 much easier than they ever did.
• Heavy Internet Users. There are people who use the internet a lot, they prefer to use web based applications and they do everything when they touch there computer through their browser. They will really like the way Windows integrates the power of web based programming into the operating system, resulting in more power available for those applications. At the same time, because web based applications will run on the operating system in a similar way to ordinary programs, there will be all those web based programmers who can now produce applications for Windows 8. This will mean a huge boom in the number of applications available.
• Business. Many businesses are already using the terminal and interface format inside their companies. For the very same reasons that heavy internet users will like Windows 8, business will be able to maintain their data and have their people access through terminals with much more power than ever before. This will greatly suit many business applications and software that already exists, and we can only expect that to improve.
The list of new features and support for the Windows 8 upgrade continues to grow everyday. This is truly an exciting time for Windows users, and it looks like Windows will certainly take the top place in operating systems once again.
