Yet another unexpected release of WordPress has been out recently. WordPress 2.8.3 fixed a security bug that is related to the privilege escalation issues in version 2.8.1. Since this is a security release, upgrading is highly recommended.
You can download WordPress 2.8.3 or automatically upgrade from the Tools -> Upgrade page of your blog’s admin.

yups, i have upgraded WP 2.8.3. so nice… so far, i havent found a lack
Seems WordPress is updating quickly and fixing bugs soon and very properly.
The release of WordPress 2.8.3 was unexpected but looking at the no of bugs and error wordpress 2.8.1 and 2.8.2 had, It was much expected update. Though I updated WordPress to 2.8.3 and I can still see few Errors in my dashboard
It is a security update that doesn’t effect the database, so all WordPress users using 2.8, this is a must.
WordPress has been a revolution in CMS. Fast and easy to install. With this release they have shown that they are going strong and hope wordpress becomes one of the most used CMS for blogs. Moreover i feel it should come with more options like social booking intregrated in wordpress.

WordPress 2.8.4 has been released now and fixes an annoying remote user password resetting bug!
And 2.8.4 came along in double quick time too! This kind of response time to identified issues sure help close down potentially hazardous loopholes in double quick time! WordPress, once more I salute you!
