I am currently using BBpress on my forums.. I will upgrade it to the new release.. The main things that BBpress lacks are
1.Lack of good themes..
2.I would like the see the signature plugin available by default.
3.All urls are like sitename/topic it would better if it was like sitename/forumname/subforumname/topic
I hope that it too has a nice future just like WordPress..
True… I’d also like to see some more themes.
I would like to ask you that wich forum platform is better. (linux server)? Thanks.
Nice. A forum software integrated with wordpess is really interesting. I think this will keep the forums more clean from spam, since wordpress is known for its anti-spam qualities.
I have seen this forum on Michael’s web:
http://michaelhutagalung.com/forum/forum.php?id=1
But didn’t like much the quality compare to actual forums based sites.
Finally, a forum that is integrated with my loved wordpress. But since it’s new, it should still be observed carefully. Perhaps a newer version is worth to wait.
wow…now no more hustle to install a forum separately for my blogs
I agree with Ilyas. The forum is just not as clean and usable as forum software like vBulletin. Still it is nice that any blog owner could easily add a forum to their site.
Thanks for giving to me a chance to be a part of your blog but still i am fell sad because you haven’t give me the link. But i will try my level best and improve myself.
Did you read the comment guidelines ? The reason is you are using a S-E-O name (“Karaoke hire”) when commenting. Please use your name instead!
I apologies for that i did not read the guidelines but i need the link on this keyword. If you allow me so my i use the name with this keyword by using the pipe sign or @.
Michael is right Mr… This website is not for spamming. You are always welcome to post genuine comments along with your name. Using SEO keyword instead of name automatically implies that you are spamming.
I don’t agree that BBpress is awesome.. it is ok as a forum software.. But it has lots more to go..
I am making some more additions to the list of changes that i would love to have..
the forum should be able to integrate into any wordpress theme after removing the wordpress sidebar..
the forum structure should be more like bBulletin.. I think that the forums should be displayed above the recent topics and not below it..
what do you guys think??
Very useful post. At last a software is out which can integrate a forum to WordPress. I think it would be of great use to people who want to open up a forum. However, the software should be carefully tested just in case there are bugs. Overall, it’s great news…
I want to try this one
Yes I have tried and its working great for me..
WordPress combined with a forum software seems to me a very interesting mix. I wonder how it can control spams though. I read somewhere that WordPress have unique anti-spam features, but are they enough.
Mmmm… It’s interesting huh! Well, I have to do some readings about this and how these things well work since I don’t have much idea!
I’ve been looking into this recently for a new project. It’s a great way to increase the sense of community in your site.
I think this will keep the forums more clean from spam, since wordpress is known for its anti-spam qualities.
Yes nice information. Thank you.
I wonder how this one will come about knowing that Simple Press is also one of the best WordPress plugins. I’ll just have to test it out my self.
The forum is just not as clean and usable as forum software like vBulletin.
