Customizing Google Adsense Text Ads Font Face
Google Adsense has just added a new feature that let you change the font face of the text in ad units on pages. This feature however, is only available to pages in Latin-character languages (including English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish and many others ). If your page appears in a language other than those shown above, ad units on that page will not display custom fonts. Right now, you can only choose between Arial, Times, and Verdana font faces.
How to customize Google Adsense fonts
There are two ways to customize the font face of your ad units: across your entire account for all AdSense for content units, or for individual ad units.
All ad units
To set a custom font as the default for all your AdSense for content units, visit the Ad Display Preferences page. This will affect all units you’ve created in the past, regardless of whether you used the Manage Ads feature. By default, your ads are currently set to ‘Standard AdSense font family’, which were proven to have performed well across browsers and displays.
Individual ad units
To set custom fonts for individual ad units, select between the default ‘Standard AdSense font family’, your new account-wide font face (if you’ve selected one), or another font face when creating new ad units or updating the appearance of existing ones
Conclusion
This feature opens up opportunities for new optimization testing. Just like altering colors and positions, changing an Ads text may give you a slight increase in your CTR. Test, test, test and test!

This will be an interesting one to test. I do have fonts that I prefer, but I think testing several and seeing which appeals most to the general public might be worth a shot
Nice feature for ads from Google. I have read many positive comments from publishers which are stating that ctr is much higher since they changed the font of ads. And that was expected, as we can now blend ads even more to suit our sites.
Earlier this feature was enabled only for those who give’s a large quantity of quality impressions.
Good to see its enabled for now all.
wow, this is why gmail was lagging yesterday. So, when these services stop working might be updates.
I want to know what kind of servers they use to manage so much of the traffic
Yes, not only gmail, I’ve got this message when loading my blogspot: This service is currently unavaiable. Shock
Font choice is but the beginning of what could happen with these Adsense ads. Expect the offerings to become slicker and slicker, with custom graphics eventually becoming the norm!
I don’t care about this news cause Adsense not acepted me =.-
Anyway good luck for men who’s playing with Google lol
I can see by the expression in your gravatar that you are not happy about it, LOL!

@ Ali, Glad I was’nt the only one tearing my hair out with Gmail yesterday.I was ready to smash the computer.
Yeh, this new feature is pretty good
I choose to have just te old style (Verdana i think) because in my opinion it looks best
Yep, good old Verdana works fine for me. My blog traffic is still not that big to notice the effects of small changes like Adsense fonts…
I’m expecting they will allow us to change font size and link behavior
Thanks for this, I must admit that I have not tried it but it sounds wicked.
I guess you could try different fonts until your face turns blue, just picturing that now, WOW!
Let us know the results on which fonts are the most effective for your blog! I’m sure it’s gonna be fun trying out all the fonts, LOL!
I have personal, visual preferences, fonts that I prefer. This adds a new twist. Does my preference add to or detract from my blogs value? Have to try and find out I guess.
Need to consider though if the adsense fonts might distract the readers from the content.
I use verdana in all my blogs . So now I expect that the matching colors and font would increase increase my earnings .Btw ,hows your experience with Infolinks ?? Heard single underlined ads are profitable than double ??
Yep, Infolinks with single underline work better in my experience.
this is good news , i was away for a while and back to found this .. that will make my ads the same as my text font i use in posting .
also adsense for domains ” parking” .
Thanks for this info. I didn’t even realize that you could do this…I have been playing with it
We also use Verdana font faces in some of our projects and feel quite satisfaction with the way it works.
Woow this is great feature
This is nice but I wonder how sites like rottentomatoes.com get to not only pick their own font but get to pick how text is laid out. its seameless integration that most of us will never see.
Look at how they use google ads in their search page:

My links on my web-site are in veranda font. Users click their very well. Akon from Norway
Changing font to get the attention for the google adsense is a good solution especially when it is properly differentiated from the page theme.

Hi, I have a quick question about your site. I am also using arthemia theme and have tried to incorporate a similar adsense sub nav bar to display a link unit. The problem is when I hover over my top nav bar links the first one is hidden behind my google adsense link unit. How do I make the top nav bar go on top. Thanks a ton
arthemia theme works best for me..thanks for the guiding
