WordPress 2.7 Release Candidate 1
Another update of one of the famous blogging softwares, Wordpress, has been released. Wordpress 2.7 release candidate 1 included lots of bug fixed and brand-new menu icons taken from the winner of the Project icons.
If you don’t familiar with the term “Release candidate”, it refers to a version with potential to be a final product, ready to release with all features have been designed, coded and tested. So that means if you do want to use Wordpress 2.7, it is almost safe to start using it now

I’ve just tested it on my local machine and it looks really good. The dashboard is pretty nice and the icon on the sidebar menu seems to be so cool and fantastic

“Release candidate”, what about beta ? which is better ? realease candidate or beta ?
i prefer ‘beta’ – commonly used since jurassic ages. lol.
Release candidate is stable while Beta is not
As I know, the whole Software release life cycle is
Pre Alpha -> Alpha(internal test) -> Beta(public test) -> Release Candidate -> Official release
Correct me if I’m wrong
I’m waiting for the final version
Why don’t blogger have “version” type system
Blogger is
Alpha > Official Release= Beta
I thought they are quite confidence about their product.
@Alvaris Falcon

I just intalled 2.6.5 using Fantastico. This version looks great but don’t know whether it will be available in fantastico auto update.
Blogger should also release updates as fast as wordpress..Blogger is too Lazy in such things
I think the final version will appear in new year, as a gift =)
Well, i will be waiting for the final candidate for sure.
Although Wordpress know their job and people over there are professionals, i don’t prefer to be beta or release candidate tester, because it is risky step, and you don’t get much, but you can loose a lot. Anyway, first impressions and looks are really good and promising.
Yep, we can install it on localhost and *destroy* it as you like lol
Wow, I’m eagerly waiting for this… wanna test the new features myself, I’m in
I am pretty stoked about this new release actually. I love Wordpress. I am Word press junkie. lol.
They will release it soon, December 04th
