“How to Get More Comments Through the Blogger System” Series
If you are a WordPress user, you are likely aware of the wide array of plugins available to customize the way the whole backend and frontend (features that readers are able to use) functions. Other blog platforms and CMS systems have had a problem at being able to extend the functionality through widgets and plugins, resulting in a dominance in that arena.
You will also know that Blogger’s commenting system has never been as customizable and flexible as that of WordPress’. For example, it only takes a simple (relatively speaking) plugin to disable the ‘nofollow’ tag in comments in WordPress, while you must manually disable them in the Blogger system.
However, there are a few workarounds and services that can be used to extend the functionality of the comments area in Blogger, resulting in an increase in the number of visitors and readers who comment, subscribe, and continue returning to your blog. Many of these are simple to setup and don’t require much theme code editing.
That’s the reason why I decided to start this “How to Get More Comments Through the Blogger System” where on each post I will cover one different technique to get more comments on your blog. As the title said, this series is targeted to Blogger’s users but don’t worry, I will try to put some similar information for WordPress’s users too
Just a quick note for this series. A few of the upcoming methods may increase the number of spam comments that you receive, so it is recommended that you think about each before adding them to your blog. In addition, it is recommended that you backup your entire template before beginning to add any plugin, widget, or code.
If things go all right this will be a interesting series, so you should subscribe to RSS feed to do not miss any posts. Stay tuned!
