WordPress 2.7 Beta 1 Is Out

The first public beta of WordPress 2.7 is available to download today on 01 November,2008. You can join the thousands of people already testing 2.7 by downloading wordpress 2.7 Beta 1.
So what’s new in wordpress 2.7? A lots of new features will be added to this version included Menus, Contextual Access Tabs, Module Layout, Stats, Recent Drafts, etc. But the most interesting feature is the new visual design, I guess 
Unfortunately the final release will not be available on November 10th as originally scheduled, a release candidate available instead.The release candidate is intended to be a high-quality, almost-finished release that everyone can use. The wordpress 2.7 final release is suspected to be released by the end of November (a bit of sadness 
)

I am also very eagerly waiting to see the final version of 2.7.may be they are waiting for the new menu icons to get ready.
i feel bad for another reason where many of my favorite plugins will not be needed anymore because they are integrated in the release such as ozh admin drop down menu,absolute comments, threaded comments, manageable, etc…

beta of WP 2.7 ? I think will download the stable one
That is usually the safe bet, especially if you’ve got a working site up and running! Rather let others trial the Beta version of products if your livelyhood depends on your stable internet presence!

Wow, 2.7 is going to be awesome. I have read so much about it, I’m sure a lot of plugin authors will have to change and update their plugins or even come up with newer ones.

I still have yet to upgrade. I need to get on the ball. The new interface looks much nicer.
The power and popularity of WordPress just keeps on growing. The updates are coming so thick and fast I find it hard to keep track!
