Nice post. I really like SU because of the ability to generate a really quick and large flood of traffic.
Plus I have been wanting to play with their newer ad packages, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. And obviously gotta’ love Delicious and Digg. But a place I use to hang a lot was Newsvine… Yeah you don’t want to do any “self promos” there. lol.
I try to “self promo” some of my posts and always get their guideline back in my inbox lol
So much information to process, I usually just stay with Digg. Although I do try to promote my sites to all of the majors.

Slashdot, I cant bookmark my site, there are some problem and I dont know why
I use Digg, Stumbled Upon and Delicious religiously, but haven’t dugg to deeply into the others. Has anyone found much success in the other sites listed? I’ve used Reddit and Yahoo Buzz, but only a few times and not with much success.
The top 10 list of social bookmarking sites you should join is missing facebook, but that is understandable, given the gated and eletric fenced community that facebook is.
StumbleUpon traffic is something else. I swear by it, especially if you need a big spike of loads of traffic in a short amount of time.

I agree with Jacques, Stumbled Upon has at times given me amazing traffic. If you get the right article and have a little luck, your traffic can spike significantly.
I put more time and effort into Digg, but don’t really get the traffic, just the Digg numbers. My highest Digged post has just 117 Diggs. I’d estimate that normally only half or a third of the Diggers visit the site. Many just Digg to get Diggs.
Delicious is just an amazing and fun tool. I have gotten traffic that is comparable to Digg. My biggest success has over 780 tags.
When it comes to bringing in traffic I have had the best response from Digg.
The social media sites should be joined because the social media websites drive more traffic to your websites and increase the page rank of your site.

Have you tried socialposter.com? It has 160 social bookmarking sites. It helps me to get good traffic too. But posting on all 160 sites for one post can take the whole.
I think digg; stumbleupon and delicious are the three kings that are must kind of a in your social bookmarking kitty.

It’s very heard to decided very best social bookmarking website. If you go to webs you will find lots of articles and blog having saying 20 best Social bookmarking website or 15 etc… That’s where people like me get confuse and heard to decide where to go. The list that you have posted, no doubt have top rank social bookmarking websites. But if I say select very very best social bookmarking website from the list that you have posted. Then I select DIGG, REDDIT and TWITER.
