Google PageRank update September 2008 – My blog got PR5
Yesterday, I read an entry on DailyBlogTips about the update of Google Pagerank this month. Looks like Google is increase the frequency of the Pagerank updates because the last one happened about two months ago.
ThemeLib is doing well since it’s started 3 months ago. The technorati rank is about 15,000 , Alexa rank is almost close to 90,000 and now Google page rank is PR5 from PR0. I have been working hard on quality back links for this blog and was hoping a good Page rank update. Now I am happy with the update 
Ah yes, if you want to get some backlinks from my blog, being in my Top Commentators is a good way

Congrats to you!! Man to think I just launched my website, http://www.puredezigner.com back in the middle of July 2008. I remember reading about the PR updates that were taking place at the end of the July, that’s when I was thinking to myself, man 3-6 months before the next update. But when I check my Alexa stat this evening I noticed something else. I just now finally had an update to my PR, From PR0 to PR3! It’s a simple website based on CSS and XHTML validated web projects I have in my portfolio, non the less, I am very happy about this update to my first ever SEO efforts in web. I’d love to see examples and reports on how your current SEO efforts are going and possible results from from the latest Google PR update, please share your updates with us?

i still don’t understand how this PR is assigned
I had this website that was offline a few hours these days and now has a N/A PR with pr3 and pr2 inner pages

Congrats.. my blog got a PR3 too. I started only 2 months ago, last August and i now have a PR 3. I remember I only submitted to few directories and haven’t done a lot of link promotion yet but I got a PR 3.. Am so happy.. Permit to place my site here so you will see it..- Download Movies| watch movies online.

Oh NO what happened?? I just PR3 last night and now I have PR0, but when I check it online http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php I have PR3 still? Anyone know what’s going on??

Where did you see your PR is zero ? Google Toolbar ?
Same thing happened to your guys too. http://themelib.com/ is showing a PR0 in the Google PR toolbar but it really has a PR of 5 in http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php. Wonder whats going on?

I checked my site’s PR across different data centers at http://www.mypagerank.net/service_googledcc_index
The result is PR5 for Google Toolbar (toolbarqueries.google.com)
Maybe something is wrong with the toolbar? Thanks for posting your link to the mypagerank.net site, great resource btw! I have checked my site on that website and it comes back with a PR of 3 but the tool bar is still stating that my PR is 0 and your site as a 0 also. Anyone else experiencing this as well?

I installed a new Firefox PR addon and everything is fixed now!! Can other people tell google that you are using black hat techniques and get you trouble? Not that I use black hat tech. but I’m just wondering if they could lie and effect your PR badly?

How important really is the PR rank of a page? I’ve heard different theories that it doesn’t really matter when it comes to traffic? But the bottom line I suppose is that it can’t hurt!
