Install Cake Recipe blogger template
Step 1. Set up the Top Navigation
Press Ctrl+F to find these lines

Change them if you want
Step 2. Change TimeStamp format

Step 3. Set up Recent Posts and Recent Comments widgets
Please refer to this post if you do not know how to set up the Recent Posts and Recent Comments widgets.
Note : Set the number of posts and number of comments to two or three to fit the layout.

I’m so totally new to blogging and don’t really understand HTML…(oh dear!)
I’ve downloaded the fab cake recipe template, only i don’t really know what to change the navigation tabs to!! Doh!
I haven’t a scooby doo as to how to change them to categories such as ‘home’, search, contact or archives…etc

As I said, you must make a right decision when deleting any widget. Maggo template is not widget ready.

Yes, that’s right. Because it’s not widget ready and rather complicated.
You need knowledge of HTML to add more widgets

Hey lovely template, and I do have a food blog so this might be perfect. Have one question though… is that image of the cake on the header editable? Meaning, can I change the image to something else, or is it embedded in the header part?
The header image is fixed!
Thanks for such a beautiful template! I was having trouble uploading it last night, but today it’s perfect. I’m curious how image hosting works though…I did start a photobucket account like you said, and I uploaded the images to it…but is that it? Do I have to change something in the html?

Yes, you need to change all image links of the template. Ctrl+F is the best and easy way

Love this template, and I’m using it now. Quick question – I believe my settings are correct to make individual posts emailable, but there isn’t a button or way that I can see that works. Is it something in the html? Can you help? thanks so much!

But does anyone know how to limit the number of posts in the main column in this template? I’ve looked at the html, but cannot find a clue.
Change the number of posts of your Post widget
Well, I must be blind, because I can’t find that particular part of it. I would expect to see something with =number?
- Login to your Blogger dashboard
- Click on the “Layout” link
- Clink on the “Edit” link of “Blog Posts” widget
- Change the value of “Number of posts on main page” when an popup window is open
Another way:
- Login to your Blogger dashboard
- Click on the “Settings” link
- Choose “Formatting” tab
- Change the number of “Show xx Posts on the main page”

hi…i recently use this template but i make a litte change to its banner the …thanks a lot..but the problem is the date at the calendar near the post title not appear..what should i do??and the banner i use the exact same size as this actual banner…but..when i change my banner to this template..the banner become smaller…you can see in my blog why it become like that??
