Arthemia magazine blogger template
Arthemia is a free professional magazine style theme designed by Michael Jubel and was converted to Blogger Template by me. Even though Arthemia blogger template doesn’t have middle category bar because of the limit of Blogspot (and/or the limit of my skill), it is still a high quality must-have theme.

Install Arthemia magazine blogger template
Step 1.Change Blog’s logo
Here is the logo link, you should change it to yours

The size of logo should be about 180×40 pixels
Step 2. Set up the Drop down menu
Press Ctrl+F to find these lines

As you can see from the code in bold above, we can create child items (About me, Contact me, Visit my blog) for an item (Theme Lib). You can duplicate these code to create more child items for others.
Note: this drop down menu doesn’t work on Internet Explorer
Step 3. 468×60 banner ad
The code for 468×60 banner ad is below <div class=’banner-ad’>. If you’ve got ads to place in here, then just replace the code. If you don’t have ads to use, you can leave my default ads (yeah, I really appreciate that 
).

Sweet, I just started my new wordpress blog with arthemia (and I don’t know what I’m doing), but now I’ll move my blogger one there.
question – can you provide a basic link on how to generate the image file. i.e. just make something up in “paint” or something and save it as what type of file? how do you ensure size will fit right with the blog, etc.? clueless on that piece; everything else make sense.

This may not be the perfect answer,but this is what I do.
I first upload the theme,and then take a screen shot of the site.Then,I paste it in paint.Then I select the area(which I want to alter) using rectangular selection.Then I copy it,and paste it in a new paint file.Then make changes whatever you want,and then upload to imageshack and use the direct link for image in the HTML code.

You can make the image of any size you want, really.
Save it as .png .
Then, on this line of code:
<img alt=” height=’135px’
You can see I already altered the height to 135px. Why? Because my image has 135 pixels!
See my blog image. I made it entirely using paint. It´s very simple, just to leave my mark. Will be upgraded in time : )

But, one thing, I would like to add categories under the post title (so it will become -> date, comment, categories). Please teach me how to add that. Blogger is such a headache.

Nice template nhc1987! Is there a way to make the “Recent Posts”, “Popular Posts”, etc. colored like yours? Is there also a way to make the drop down menu work in Internet Explorer?
You need to apply these class below to h2 tag
.blue {color:#12B5E8;}.green {color:#7DC50A;}
.orange {color:#FF7800;}
And yes, we can fix IE drop down menu problem. I’ll write a simple tutorial about it in the future. Sorry, I’m a bit busy now

There is a problem with dropdown menu in IE. I’ll try to fix it soon.

Thanks for creating such a neat and clean template. I was looking for this template since last few months. In meantime I tried a few other WordPress templates converted for blogger. But was not at all happy with the look and feel. I blog in regional language and would like to mention here that Arthemia Blogger template works well for regional scripts also. I need a little help with the buttons, though. I want to change the buttons Menu 1, Menu2, Menu 3 to Cellphones, Laptops, Cameras respectively. I want that when I click on the button ” Cellphone”, I would be taken to a new page within my blogsite.
The same thing should be done with other drop down menu.
Also, instead of black bar, I want it to be light blue.
Kindly assist me, please. I don’t anything about html or xml. Just some simple step-by-step instructions.

thanks for this wonderful template ! but really i need your help to remove the adsense gadgets from the sidebar ! since the default adsense gadget is replacing the ads in diffrent sizes each time ! therefor i prefer to ad them manualy

You need to replace the Adsense widget with HTML widget. That’s it

Hi, I loved your template, it’s the best I found in a long time. I’m customizing it for my blog, but for some reason I cannot view my adsense ads in the right sidebar. I added them in the “Page elements” and copied the html code there.
I also replaced the widget in the html template copying the code you suggested above. What could I possibly do wrong?
