Arthemia magazine blogger template
Arthemia is a free professional magazine style theme designed by Micheal Jubel and was converted to Blogger template by me. Even though Arthemia blogger template doesn’t have middle category bar because of the limit of Blogspot (and/or the limit of my skill), it is still a high quality must-have theme.

Features included :
- Two/Three columns depend on your cutomization
- Professional design with magazine style
- Built-in search box
- Nice drop down menu
- Three footer widgets
- Banner ad ready (468×60)
- Google Adsense ready (300×250 rectangle, 120×600 sidebar)
Install Arthemia magazine blogger template
Step 1.Change Blog’s logo
Here is the logo link, you should change it to yours
http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/themelib/arthemia/logo.png
The size of logo should be about 180×40 pixels
Step 2. Set up the Drop down menu

Press Ctrl+F to find these lines
<ul class='left clearfloat' id='page-bar'>
<li><a expr:href='data:blog.homepageUrl'>Home</a></li>
<li><a href='#'>Menu1</a></li>
<li><a href='#'>Menu2</a></li>
<li><a href='#'>Menu3</a></li>
<li><a href=’http://themelib.com’>Theme Lib</a>
<ul class=’children’>
<li class=’cat-item’><a href=’http://themelib.com/about’>About me</a></li>
<li class=’cat-item’><a href=’http://themelib.com/about’>Contact me</a></li>
<li class=’cat-item’><a href=’http://themelib.com’>Visit my blog</a></li>
</ul></li>
</ul>
As you can see from the code in bold above, we can create child items (About me, Contact me, Visit my blog) for an item (Theme Lib). You can duplicate these code to create more child items for others.
Note: this drop down menu doesn’t work on Internet Explorer
Step 3. 468×60 banner ad
The code for 468×60 banner ad is below <div class=’banner-ad’>. If you’ve got ads to place in here, then just replace the code. If you don’t have ads to use, you can leave my default ads (yeah, I really appreciate that
).

Hey..cool template…I have used it in my blog….Thanx…
Outstanding template man. Good work!
Sweet, I just started my new wordpress blog with arthemia (and I don’t know what I’m doing), but now I’ll move my blogger one there.
question - can you provide a basic link on how to generate the image file. i.e. just make something up in “paint” or something and save it as what type of file? how do you ensure size will fit right with the blog, etc.? clueless on that piece; everything else make sense.
thanks and keep up the awesome work. what’s next?
This may not be the perfect answer,but this is what I do.
I first upload the theme,and then take a screen shot of the site.Then,I paste it in paint.Then I select the area(which I want to alter) using rectangular selection.Then I copy it,and paste it in a new paint file.Then make changes whatever you want,and then upload to imageshack and use the direct link for image in the HTML code.
Hope,this helps.
You can make the image of any size you want, really.
Save it as .png .
Then, on this line of code:
<img alt=” height=’135px’
You can see I already altered the height to 135px. Why? Because my image has 135 pixels!
See my blog image. I made it entirely using paint. It´s very simple, just to leave my mark. Will be upgraded in time : )
Don´t mind the language, the blog is in portuguese.

ThemeLib,
But, one thing, I would like to add categories under the post title (so it will become -> date, comment, categories). Please teach me how to add that. Blogger is such a headache.
This is awesome! I’ve changed the theme of my contest blog to this one.
Here is the code for this
<b:loop values='data:post.labels' var='label'><a expr:href='data:label.url' rel='tag'><data:label.name/></a><b:if cond='data:label.isLast != "true"'>,</b:if>
</b:loop>
Thanks! And oh, is it my Google toolbar or what, cause I see PR5 for your homepage Themelib.com??

Nice template nhc1987! Is there a way to make the “Recent Posts”, “Popular Posts”, etc. colored like yours? Is there also a way to make the drop down menu work in Internet Explorer?
You need to apply these class below to h2 tag
.blue {color:#12B5E8;}.green {color:#7DC50A;}
.orange {color:#FF7800;}
And yes, we can fix IE drop down menu problem. I’ll write a simple tutorial about it in the future. Sorry, I’m a bit busy now
Wow! this working and looking good now.
I use it on http://technoraz.blogspot.com and I’ve added some features at http://technoraz.blogspot.co like feedburner subscription box and
125 X 125 space… Thanks for creating this template!
Can you tell me how to highlight author comments in this template?
By the way have you checked the e-mail regarding advertising?
It’s a bit long to say this in a comment, a new post is better. Please remind me next time
Hello ThemeLib,
This template is working on Chrome browser, but not working on Internet explorer. Is there any problem ? Any settings needs to be changed. ?

Thanks for creating such a neat and clean template. I was looking for this template since last few months. In meantime I tried a few other Wordpress templates converted for blogger. But was not at all happy with the look and feel. I blog in regional language and would like to mention here that Arthemia Blogger template works well for regional scripts also. I am working in Devnagari (Used in India) script. Please have a look at my site
This theme seriously rocks!
Thanks a lot for share.
Keep making more cool themes.
great template , good job, thanks
Hello!
I have been using blogger template for almost a year but I don’t that I can change it to these excellent magazine-style templates.
Thank you for making these blogger templates for us!
I need a little help with the buttons, though. I want to change the buttons Menu 1, Menu2, Menu 3 to Cellphones, Laptops, Cameras respectively. I want that when I click on the button ” Cellphone”, I would be taken to a new page within my blogsite.
The same thing should be done with other drop down menu.
Also, instead of black bar, I want it to be light blue.
Kindly assist me, please. I don’t anything about html or xml. Just some simple step-by-step instructions.
Thank you very much.
Please read the instruction above. Thanks.
If you want me to do customization for your blog, I’m availaible for hiring
Its really very good that you converted the theme to Blogger. I’m using the wordpress version of it slightly modified by me..
Hi, I have visited your site many times and really impressed about your works.
How about everytime you publish a new template, I can introduce for you with the reward that you put a link about my review on your post?
This is my review’s example:
http://www.falconhive.com/2008.....press.html
You can also recommend me for improvement of the review, thank you!
Rarely had any author share their personal template, but you. God bless you, pal.
Thanks

i did it because ur the best ! bravo for this template
Hi
I’ve just started using this theme on my site and come across a problem with Meta Robots Tag which stops search engines indexing your web site.
I ran a SEO report once I had my site ready and it threw up a WARNING message which I thought you might like to know about and advise your readers. The Arthemia 2 template adds a couple of META Robots Tag statements which are quite harmful if your site has gone live, because they tell search engines like Google NOT to index your site!!!! Which means, no one will find your website unless these tags are removed.
I have written details of this and how to remove it here:
http://technicalarticles.co.uk/?p=105
Has anyone else come across this problem?
Any help appreciated.
Dan
Maybe you’re wrong because we can’t find any NOFOLLOW and NOINDEX in Arthemia Wordpress Theme.
Please check your “Privacy Settings” (Dashboard->Settings->Privacy) page and make sure that “I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers” option is checked
Btw, I never add NO-FOLLOW and NO-INDEX to any templates lol
Hi nhc1987
I really appreciate your speedy response, and really you’re a GENIUS!!
Its been such a long time ago since I checked my privacy settings in the Dashboard, and so when I read your response, I went to check it straight away and it was set to ‘Block Search Engines but allow normal visitors’.
I’m not sure whether thats a default setting for my Wordpress install or whether I set it this way while my site was n’t ready, bit I’d totally forgotten about it. This explains the origins of the NOINDEX & NOFOLLOW insertions, because I could see the template being used everywhere and no-one else seemed to be having the problem.
So thanks very much for your help, its appreciated.
Dan
Hi did you consider my suggestion above?
I appreciated you work but sorry I can’t afford to do that
Thanks for your reply, hope we would have a chance for cooperation.
It’s okay, and I would continue to support your work!
nice template dude its looks really cool. thanxx
NHC
I’m just extending my Arthemia theme and was interested in the Sitemap plug-in.. I installed it, but wanted to add a link to the footer like you’ve done, but I can’t seem to get it to work by just adding a label with the pointer to the sitemap.xml file… am I missing something?
Also liked your ‘Did you miss any of these related posts’ option at the end of your post, is that a Word-press plug-in, would n’t mind details on that also.
Dan
I have no idea with WP Sitemap plugin
I’m using Simple Tags plugin to display related posts.
how do i show “Tags” after a post? It will be easier for my readers to search similar posts.
I answered the same question above http://themelib.com/2008/09/ar.....mment-2052
any ideas on how to get rid of/replace the rotating adsense in top right with a widget? thanks
Currently this section is not widget ready. I’ll try to widgetize it when I update this theme.
thanks. got it.
hope to get the updates soon
master! thank you!!
how do i add post date?
Settings->Formatting–>Date header Format.Change it to
Tuesday,October 07,2008.
